Sophia Ardern | Design Lead

Hey, I'm Sophia! A Lead Product Designer with 10 years experience in a wide range of industries. Combining both a strong creative background with my technical skills allows me to guide projects from initial brief and concepts through to build and completion, producing clean, functional experiences.

I work through the full product life-cycle from early UX discovery phase and research to user testing sessions, flow-mapping and implementing design systems - with particular focus on user experience and IA product strategy.

I enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative environment with creative and technical teams, on sprint lead digital product builds that have a viable purpose. I have worked on multiple end-to-end product builds with international brands where I've overseen the product design direction and high level product refinement. 

My goal as a design lead is to work collaboratively alongside tech teams and stakeholders in order to utilise business knowledge that enables the team to work towards an informed and research backed solution for the end product, whilst also being bold and progressive with the overall product experience.

I want to engineer products that create actual change and impact for both client and the user, my work has been proven to increase usability and elevate products to the next level. I am a big thinker and thrive in my profession which is constantly changing and innovating.
